These holopaintings by Dominique Mulhem integrate traditional painting with a large holographic portrait created in the laboratory of the museum. The pulsed laser emits a wavelength similar to infrared that penetrates the subcutaneous layers of the skin, giving an appearance of a wax doll or death mask. The holopainting with the portrait of Margot, “Medieval Signal”, was put up for auction by Mr. Blache at the Floralies auction house in Versailles.
